John Chang died peacefully at his residence on Sunday, April 21, 2019, in his 85th year. He was the husband of the late Wan Kiu Chang, the loving father of Edna (Andre) Sue-A-Quan, Gregory (Avena) Chang, and Lina (David) Yee, and the loving grandfather of Liana and Christian Yee.
He is survived by his stepmother, Rose Chang, step-sister Demetria, and step-brothers George, Dennis, Felix, Marlon, Anthony, and Frederick. Friends and Family were received at Chapel Ridge Funeral Home, located at 8911 Woodbine Avenue, Markham L3R 5G1, on Thursday, 25th April, from 6 – 9 pm. Funeral Mass was held on Friday, 26th April, at 11:00 am at Our Lady Queen of the World Catholic Church at 10411 Bay View Avenue, Richmond Hill.
The burial was at Elgin Mills Cemetery, 1591 Elgin Mills Road East, Richmond Hill, L4S 1M9. Memorial contributions may be made to the preferred charities of your choice: Mackenzie Richmond Hill Hospital or Heart and Stroke Foundation.
