Lottie Helena Bobb-Semple was born on September 16, 1897, to Malachi Bobb-Semple and Margaret Rodney of Christianburg, Demerara River. She attended the Christianburg Scott School and then Christianburg High School. She married Joseph Oscar Rodney in June 1923
Mrs. Rodney then became a teacher. She later moved to Georgetown and trained and worked as a midwife at the Georgetown Public Hospital.
She was the mother of Viota, Beulah, Sheila, Shirley, and Ovid, grandmother of Pauline, Maxim (Paul), Wencelas, Gefford, Rozamond, Raymond, Avril, Gordon, Annetha, Christopher, Gregory, Julian, Carol, Allan, Simone, Sharon, and Troy. great-grandmother of twenty-five; the great-great-grandmother of one.
