With splendid sunshine and a North-Easterly breeze of about 5 mph, Guyanese came out to the seawall and other venues for the annual ritual of Kite Flying.
The girls in the latest fashions, the boys spending more time helping the fashionable girls than flying kites, the kids demanding their parents’ attention to get their kites in the sky, and their parents only too willing for a break to enjoy the various beverages of the day.
With all things in place, food, drinks, sunshine, and an opportunity to have fun, it is another day in the life of Guyanese.
