Georgetown, Guyana July 17, 2015 – Al-Mustafa Islamic Trust (AMIT) wishes heartiest congratulations to the Guyanese Muslim Community for the conclusion of the Holy and Glorious month of Ramadhan that initiates the celebration of Eid ul Fitr.
Eid ul Fitr is the celebration that was encombent upon Muslims during the time of Prophet Muhammad (SAWS). It concludes the fasting of the Holy month of Ramadhan and promotes a new opportunity for Muslims to unite with their brothers and sisters and share their contributions. This is also seen as an indication to the Muslims by Allah, the Almighty, to spread equality in the society, since giving charity is highly encouraged on this day.
Muslims from across the world come together in their Mosques or Islamic Centres, to offer specified prayer and embrace their brothers and sisters that have went through what they have bygone in the Glorious month of Ramadhan. It is prohibited to fast on this specific day due to its significance that distinguishes other months from the month of Ramadhan.
AMIT happily invites all the Muslims to celebrate and enjoy this auspicious event.
