There has been an early morning fire at the Mahdia School Secondary School Dormitory with a number of deaths.
Some reports from the area claim that the death toll stands at 20. President Irfaan Ali in an interview earlier said that the government is mobilizing to assist the victims.
There has been no determination as to the cause of the fire as of this time.
