Bryan Mackintosh known around the world as Bryan Max started a charity drive three years ago to provide Christmas cheer to children at St. Cuthbert’s Primary School located just off the Linden Highway in Guyana.
Bryan Mackintosh known around the world as Bryan Max started a charity drive three years ago to provide Christmas cheer to children at St. Cuthbert’s Primary School located just off the Linden Highway in Guyana.
The first party had 70 children who were treated to a special lunch and given gift bags. This year the lunch, under the auspices of Team Care Guyana with Bryan at the helm, will be serving all 90 girls and 80 boys from the primary school. The children will again be served a special lunch, including chicken and chips from one of the major fast food restaurants. The food is being sponsored by Harold Hopkinson aka Top Gun, ‘brother’ of Mackintosh. The meal will be completed with drinks and cupcakes from Saralise Ming. To top off a fun filled event each child will receive a goody bag that will include Suri Candies compliments of Frank S. Sanichara. Each girl will get a beautiful doll and every boy will get a truck.
Joining Team Care Guyana this year under the leadership of Mackintosh will be, Harold Hopkinson, Michelle Ready-Mackintosh, Sandy Chan, Joan Muss, Julio Thijs, James Churaman, Jackie Degoias Viera, Veronica Ramcharran, Mandy Bheir, Vishnu Prasad, and Steve Esteban Wess. New team members this year include Maureen and Peter De Frietas, Charmayne and Larry Veira, and Liz Dookhan all from Canada. John Meikle who is the uncle of Mackintosh also joins the team along with Kamal Seebarran of Rays Motor Spares and Auto Sales, Jewie Scott of the USA, and Hugh Allan Yearwood who lives in Poland.
Mackintosh says all is in order for the big event on Friday, December 12, adding “with God’s help we will make this a Christmas party the kids will remember for a long time to come.”
