ibert Parvatan holds the office of Executive Director with the Laparkan Group of Companies in Guyana. Prior to the assumption of this office, he served as a Minister of Government (Technocrat) during the structural adjustment period and non-elected Member of Parliament for six (6) years – 1986 to 1992.
His extra curricula activities have for decades, embraced social, cultural and other entities. He serves as a Board Member with several Organizations and holds the office as Chairman of the St. John Association of Guyana.
Over the past three decades, he has presented country and western music each week to Radio listeners (Voice of Guyana) dealing with aspects of life.
For the last ten years he has been a weekly columnist in the Catholic Standard of Guyana and a social commentator on TV – CNS 6 with his Viewpoints.
He has resisted the temptation to live abroad and continues to live with pride in the land of his birth – Guyana.
