New Milford, New Jersey – Guyanese American Christian Apologetics author Christopher H.K. Persaud has won his fifth international award. Persaud’s book, The Da Vinci Code Revisited: A Conclusive Refutation of the Widespread, Sinister Lie (Xlibris Corporation, USA, 2013, Revised) earned top marks in the Non Fiction – Inspirational category of the 2014 Readers' Favorite International Book Competition and was awarded a Silver medal. The Da Vinci Code Revisited also received a five-star rating via an official Readers’ Favorite organization book-reviewing process.

Persaud’s book, The Da Vinci Code Revisited: A Conclusive Refutation of the Widespread, Sinister Lie (Xlibris Corporation, USA, 2013, Revised) earned top marks in the Non Fiction – Inspirational category of the 2014 Readers' Favorite International Book Competition and was awarded a Silver medal. The Da Vinci Code Revisited also received a five-star rating via an official Readers’ Favorite organization book-reviewing process.
The Readers’ Favorite International Book Competition is an annual worldwide event that accommodates publications dealing with various genres. There were more than 3,000 entries in the recently concluded 2014 contest.
Persaud and other prize-winning authors will be honored at the 2014 Readers’ Favorite Awards ceremony in November at the Regency Hotel in Miami, Florida, USA. The award-winning books of the various authors will also be displayed at the Miami Book Fair International during November 21-23, 2014. The fair runs for a full week during mid-November.
Christopher has written six (6) full length books to date, and in addition to the Readers Favorite award mentioned above, has garnered the following awards:
- Evolution: Beyond the Realm of Real Science (Xulon Press, USA, 2007) was the first prize winner in the Current Issues category at the 2008 Christian Choice Book Awards. The book also won the grand prize and was named the Christian Choice Book of 2008.
- The Da Vinci Code Revisited: A Conclusive Refutation of the Widespread, Sinister Lie (Xlibris Corporation, USA, 2010) won first prize in Theology at the 2010 Christian Choice Book Awards. The book was chosen as The Indie Observer’s/Indie Authors Roundup’s first ever Critics’ Choice Selection in 2012. The Indie Observer/Indie Authors Roundup is a spinoff division of Xlibris Corporation, and caters to the global print-on-demand or self-publishing industry.
- Contending for the Faith: 22 Methodical Arguments for Biblical Truth (Xlibris Corporation, USA, 2013) won third prize in Theology at the 2013 Christian Writers Awards.

More about the Author
Christopher Hugh Kawal Persaud was born in Guyana (formerly British Guiana) on the South American continent. He immigrated to the USA in 1982 along with his wife Pamela and two sons Duane and Jason. A third son, Justin, was born in New York in 1991.
In Guyana Christopher held executive positions in one of the country’s leading full-service banks. He also sat as director on the Board of one of Guyana’s foremost mortgage and loan institutions.
After emigrating to the USA, Persaud continued working in the financial services field and held senior positions at The American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers (ASCAP, New York) and at the Metropolitan Museum of Art.
Christopher is also a published poet whose work appears in a number of international poetry anthologies. The author lives in New Milford, New Jersey, USA.
